You must provide all of the following with your residency application. All documents must be valid and not past their expiry date.
Proof of identity
- your passport
- your country identity card, if you have one — upload both the front and the back
Your employment contract
An employment contract that:
- is for a period of at least one year
- shows gross annual earnings of at least £37,500
- is with a business that is trading in or from Gibraltar, is fully registered and licensed, and is up to date with all its payments and filings
If you are not an EU national, you must also provide a copy of your work permit. See work permits and employment approval.
Evidence of somewhere to live
Evidence that you rent or own a property in Gibraltar:
- Renting — the property must be your main home, for a term of at least 12 months. It cannot be a holiday rental.
- Buying — you cannot let the property out while you hold the permit, and it must be available for your exclusive use for that period.
You cannot make a new residency application if you live on a vessel.
Proof of age
Proof that you are 55 years old or under.
An official vetting form
An official vetting form from the country where you were most recently living.
Documents for any dependants
If you include dependants in your application, you must provide for each one:
- their passport
- their country identity card, if they have one — front and back
Each dependant aged 18 or over must also provide an official vetting form from the country where they were most recently living.
If an agent applies for you
If an authorised agent submits the application on your behalf, they must provide proof of their own identity (a passport or identity card).
